Prof. Mariano López (NYU / UNTREF) will offer a workshop to help students, faculty, and the general public activate archives or projects that lie dormant in their computer folders. Abstracts, sketches, disjointed paragraphs, papers in progress, and other unpresentable and unpublished materials will be examined collectively to illuminate possible paths to growth, closure and/or transmutation. Critical and methodological tools originating in different local iterations of queer theory and queer studies, especially those sharpened in the Latin American context, will be made available. Participation in this workshop requires submitting a brief text that looks unfinished to its author (no shorter than a paragraph, no longer than five pages). RSVP and submit your text to Prof. López before Friday, October 13th.
This event is made possible by the Borghesi-Mellon Workshop program of the Center for the Humanities with additional support from the Anonymous Fund
