River to the Heart: Film Screening and Discussion
An in-depth exploration of the cultural and environmental issues faced by those living along the Mississippi River, River to the Heart, follows award-winning author and filmmaker Eddy Harris as he paddles the full length of the Mississippi in a canoe for the second time in 30 years. During his journey, Harris explores magnificent landscapes and delves into topics such as diversity, inclusion and outdoor access equity.
Presented in partnership with the Nelson Institute for Environmental Studies and Everyone’s Earth Conversation on Race and Environment.
Please note, there are two screenings for this event:
- Tuesday, October 30 at 6:00 PM at the Marquee Theatre, Union South, 1308 West Dayton Street
- Thursday, November 1 at 6:00 PM at the UW South Madison Partnership Atrium, Villager Mall, 2312 South Park Street
