How are we to theorize the ways in which food – or, more appropriately, “food” – has been a contested and meaningful category? This seminar aims to encourage a transdisciplinary conversation among scholars who currently study food and those who might like to add a consideration of food to their portfolio of interests.
Applications submitted by Thursday, November 24, 2017 will receive full consideration for a $500 stipend for allowable research expenses. Additional inquiries may be submitted up to the beginning of the Spring 2018 semester.
Please send the following materials as a single PDF to firstname.lastname@example.org with the subject line “Food Cultures Application”:
- a 1-2 page letter outlining your interest in the seminar; please include a brief statement with any spring 2018 scheduling constraints
- curriculum vitae
