ACLS Public Fellow, 2014-2016

With support from the Center for the Humanities, Wisconsin Public Radio's To the Best of Our Knowledge was selected to host a 2014-2016 American Council of Learned Societies (ACLS) Public Fellow.

Craig Eley completed his Ph.D. in American studies at the University of Iowa where he specialized in the history of environmental sound recording. He spent two years in Madison working as a Digital Producer for the nationally syndicated radio show, To the Best of Our Knowledge.

In addition, Eley presented his work at the Center for the Humanities' "Rise and Fall and Rise of Paramount Records" in April, 2015, and led a course entitled "Nature's Music" for UW Madison Continuing Studies in the fall of 2015. Read more about the course here.

More about Craig and the fellowship can be found here. Visit Wisconsin Public Radio's staff page for a list of Craig's radio projects and interviews while at WPR.
