About the Building
Opened to the public in 2011, Union South is on the south side of the UW-Madison campus near Computer Sciences and the Discovery Building. The building was designed in an organic prairie-style architecture, influenced by Frank Lloyd Wright. It houses a hotel, various eateries, a small market, many meeting spaces, a 330-seat cinema, and Varsity Hall, a 10,778 square-foot multipurpose event space.
